Overview

Designed by Waveshare, the RP2040-LCD-1.28 is a low-cost, high-performance MCU board that, despite its tiny size, incorporates a 1.28-inch LCD round display, a Li-ion battery charger, a 6-axis sensor (3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope), and adapts all GPIO and Debug headers, making it easy for you to develop and integrate it into products quickly.

Features

The RP2040-LCD-1.28 is powered by the RP2040 microcontroller chip, designed by Raspberry Pi in the United Kingdom. It features a dual-core Arm Cortex M0+ processor with a flexible clock running up to 133 MHz, 264KB of SRAM, and 2MB of on-board Flash memory. The board is equipped with a Type-C connector, keeping it up to date and easier to use.

The RP2040-LCD-1.28 boasts an onboard 1.28-inch 240x240 pixels 65K colorful IPS LCD display for clear color pictures. It also has a lithium battery recharge/discharge header, making it suitable for mobile devices.

All GPIO pins are adapted through 1.27-pitch female headers, with a total of 30 pins (some of which have been connected to the internal circuit, so please refer to the wiki for details when multiplexing). The board supports USB 1.1 with device and host support, as well as low-power sleep and dormant modes. Programming is done via drag-and-drop using mass storage over USB.

The RP2040-LCD-1.28 offers a wide range of interfaces, including 2 x SPI, 2 x I2C, 2 x UART, 4 x 12-bit ADC, and 16 x controllable PWM channels. It also features an accurate clock and timer on-chip, a temperature sensor, and accelerated floating-point libraries. Additionally, it has 8 x Programmable I/O (PIO) state machines for custom peripheral support.
